SIRuBel is an information system for managing the repository of school books in Sungai Raya Village. This project was part of the Smart Village Program by Tanjungpura University and was carried out by a team. In this project, I served as the team leader while also taking the role of Web Developer.

The Smart Village program initiated by Universitas Tanjungpura encourages the use of digital technology to improve village governance. One of the focus villages is Sungai Raya Village.
During field research, we identified several key challenges that became our focus when visiting schools and areas around Sungai Raya Village. First, many children in the village do not continue their education, limiting their access to knowledge and learning. Second, book data is poorly documented, making it difficult for village staff to track the quantity and condition of books. Finally, there are no clear and transparent reports, making it challenging for the village authorities to evaluate the use of book repositories by students and the community. These issues formed the basis for designing a digital solution.

Based on team discussions and field needs, we designed SIRuBel (Learning Space Information System). This web-based system is specifically designed to facilitate book storage and serve as a free resource for the community, especially children who want access to books and knowledge in Sungai Raya Village. With SIRuBel, village staff can digitally record books, manage borrowing and returning processes more efficiently, and generate organized and transparent reports.

The development of SIRuBel took place over five months. The process began with in-depth research through interviews with residents and village officials to identify their needs and challenges. Once the system requirements were gathered, we drafted specifications and designed an easy-to-understand workflow.
Next, the team selected appropriate technologies, considering resource availability and system sustainability in the village. The implementation phase was carried out collaboratively, with clear task allocation among team members. Finally, the system was successfully deployed, and we conducted outreach and training sessions to ensure that village officials could use SIRuBel independently.

In this project, I served as Team Leader and Web Developer. As team leader, I was responsible for coordinating the team, creating the project timeline, and ensuring all members performed according to their roles. On the technical side, I was directly involved in the development of the web-based system.
SIRuBel is one of the tangible implementations of the Smart Village program at Universitas Tanjungpura, demonstrating that technology can provide concrete solutions to village-level problems.
